Augmented Archive Augmented Archive is an augmented reality archive that functions as a combination of archive and exhibition space, overlaying digital content onto the real environment and thereby extending the physical space. The aim of the project is to bring together two-di- mensional media — linked with accompanying text information — within a virtual three-dimensional space and to make this space navigable. This is realized through a projection that covers an entire wall surface and appears, from the visitors‘ perspective, as an extension of the physical space. For navigation, a control panel with two joysticks is available, allowing visitors to move freely through the virtual space. A screen on the control panel displays a top-down view of all data points located within the space. When a person approaches one of these points, the associated text is displayed on the monitor In addition, various guided tours have been designed that can be selected via a touchscreen. These tours allow data points to be thematically linked with one another, independent of their spatial arrangement.
